Mini Peaceful Warrior Yoga Camp

A mindful summer experience immersed in nature and creativity

For ages 5-9

August 19-23

Hosted in Georgetown, Ontario.

Kristin is a kids yoga and mindfulness teacher  and mom of 2 and has been running kids yoga camps for many years.

Each day is different in terms of themed discussions and crafts geared towards heart virtues  including love, kindness and gratitude. We practice movement a minimum 5 times per day  and Kristin mixes it up between yoga and fitness.

We allow the children to guide us and keep it fun and laid back with a lot of creative play.

The children will engage in crafts that include beading, painting, sculpting and more and will take home a book they add all their creations to over the week.

This is a growth mindset focused camp. We talk nutrition and how to take care of ourselves. We talk stresses and how to deal with them, leaving the children tools to take home to help them handle emotion and energy fluctuations. We also talk about gardening and even do some planting!

We will spend most of our time outside at the park close by and in the backyard. Friday we will take a trip to the splash pad at Dominion Gardens.

Please bring a water bottle, wear comfy clothes, 2 nut free snacks and lunch. .

$279 for the week 8:30am-4:30pm

Meet Kristin

Kristin is a yoga teacher and Birth companion. She has taught yoga for over 8 years and has a passion for working with Pre and Postnatal families and kids. Kristin used to run kids yoga camps and classes for years before her studio in downtown Georgetown closed. Her focus is to allow the kids to express themselves through movement and play and encourage them to let loose and have fun. Kristin knows the powerful effect yoga can have when introduced to young children to give them the tools they need to get through the tough times life may bring and to help them regulate their emotions and learn to connect to themselves and their bodies.

Meet Rehema

Rehema began her yoga journey as a teen however when she became an adult and then a mother, her appreciation for yoga deepened and it was through the practice that she gained a better understanding of herself and those in her life. To further enhance her knowledge of yoga, she decided to complete her 200 hour Yoga teacher training and then went on to complete her Kids Yoga Teacher Training. Through yoga, Rehema has learned effective ways to manage and move through the hills and valleys of life and is always eager to share this with her students. She believes wholeheartedly that movement of the body and breath is the best way to release the things "we no longer need". Rehema also completed a Mindfulness and Meditation teacher training course, where she learned how to guide others in mindfulness practices and meditation to enhance wellness and relaxation. She combines her trainings, along with her deep understanding and compassion for others in her classes, making each class a unique and memorable experience.

This is your village.

  • Community

Feel connected and part of a community with other local families and kids getting to play and laugh together in a safe space.

  • Movement + Stillness

Kids today are busier than ever and practicing Yoga has many of the same benefits for kids as it does for adults. The physical benefits of practicing yoga are much the same in enhancing strength, flexibility, coordination, and body awareness. It also can help the kids to relax and can help cultivate a deeper understanding of their inner self and how they relate to the world around them, allowing them to better identify and manage their emotions.

  • Creativity

Through imagination and adventure, kids are encouraged to step out of their comfort zone and tap into their creative side.
